I had my first kid in 2004 and my second in 2006, a boy and a girl respectively. I will typically say that my boy has similar personality traits to my own, namely social anxiety, intensity, obsessiveness and sardonic wit. My daughter is what my mother would call a good-time-Charlie, not because she stays out till three drinking gin & tonics but because her happiness set-point is gloriously high. She is more like my husband.

Oh yeah, I’m a wife too. I’ve been married to the same guy since 1995, and even though he thinks I’m mildly insane, he still loves me. Either that or he’s a masochist.

We all live somewhat harmoniously in a Sears kit bungalow in Suburbia, PA.
